The christian Race

Praise the name of the living Lord.In today's message  I will be talking about  The christian race.
when we talk about a race ,what comes into your mind is about running.when it comes to running competition there are winners and losers.Those who prepare very hard before the competition always takes the first position.But to those who just want to run for a running sake will see themselves at the last position.Now when we come to the christian race,the question i want to ask every reader is How is your journey as a christian?Are you on track for Jesus?Are you having a race to win as a christian or you are running to lose?It will be good to ponder over this question very well and make a good decision. The christian race is not something we have to joke about.The day you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal savior,then you must know that you are in a race.A race to Heaven.
In the book of Hebrew 12:1 Therefore we also since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses,let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnare us,and let us run with endurance the race that is before us.
There is a Race before each one of us.we have to be focus on Jesus Christ to help us finish our race successfully.If you are in a race and you are not focus,am very sure you will be distracted by something else.Lets look at some of the practical things you must do to keep you on track:

• Accept Jesus as your Lord and personal savior.
• Have the assurance that you are now a child of God.
• Ask Jesus to be the master of your life.
• Read your Bible Daily.
• Pray in the spirit.
• Pray without ceasing
• live a life of God.
• live a Good life.
• Attend Church services .
• Walk with people that will help you grow spiritually.
• Have faith as christian
• Love others as  yourself.
• Give freely.Don't be stingy
• Have mercy on people.
• Be happy always in Christ.
• Avoid sinful nature.
• live a Holy life.
• Above all Have the assurance that you will make it to Heaven

 Living a life as  a christian is the most wonderful thing i have ever experience before.nothing can be compared to it.when we lead a good life,when we let love lead,when we know that someone can be ill yet a friend of Jesus,you will always have a wonderful christian journey.But don't for get anyone that one to live a Godly life in Jesus Christ will be persecuted. II Timothy 3:12.  But when you walk with God you shall overcome.
Apostle Paul is one that you can learn from.He said in the the book of  11 Timothy 4:7-8. I have fought the good fight.I have finished the race,I have kept the faith.....

 You have to learn alot from Apostle Paul so that you can One day say that  you have Finished the Race and fought a good fight.Amen.
